Hi just wanted to know a bit more about the hobbywing 2200kv vs the castle 2200kv. Hobbywing says its 3000w and castle says it 60k rpm. I have the hobbywing in my typhon but after another motor for a different car. Is there any advantages over both motors like torque, power, rotor size etc or there just much and much the same thing cept brand ty

LOL, I have not run either of those motors. As for the 3000w vs 60k RPM, can't make that comparison, different specs. I would expect them to perform similarly, but which has the advantage? I would not know...

As far as those motors go the only difference I know of is the price. Other than that they are going to perform very similar. One might be ever so slightly faster or have a little more torque than the other. Both motors are similar in size 4075 for the Castle vs 4274 of the Hobbywing. The Castle weighs 11 grams more as well 429 grams for the Castle vs 418 grams for the Hobbywing.

Castle motors seem to have good feedback about keeping the temps low. Hobbywing has a good ESC, max8. I have spent sometime on this and have decided to go with the castle 1515 and max8.

I have had a castle mamba monster esc with 1515 2200kv in my erevo and others. I also have a hw max8 with 4274 2200kv in my redcat be6s. I know I am over geared in the be6s with 19/47 Pinion/spur and the esc thermals once in a while and motor is hot, but I love the speed :D

    I have a few hw esc’s

    1x max8
    2x max6
    2x max5

The car will be somewhat heavier because of the Just Bash It chassis and other parts. So we’ll see. Live and learn I guess The blx is coming out

    OHH SHINY!!!
Will the 4092 fit inside the chassis rail on that pretty chassis? It hangs over the edge of the stock chassis, I think...

It should fit fine because the Just Bash It chassis is larger. It won’t be shiny for long LoL
