The stock Punch Sitting in Outcast is 4. It have been like that since the beginning. I thought it is not big different. Today I decided to go 9. Wow it is amazing. You can do back flips very easy. Also. it is very easy to straight it from overturned. This tank become very light!!. Like if I'm driving my 10th scale Rustler :D:D:D:D
The only downside you will drain the battery very fast .
Check this videos and I will try to post some more.
By the way is is 12t Pinion.

I did this too a little after I bought my Outcast and did notice a significant difference in power and speed, I’m running 2x3s LiPos 5400 mAh Duramax typical run time per pack is roughly 20-25 min.

I'm glad I didn't do it from the beginning. New limits to discover. My batteries are 2x3S Onyx 5400mah

I'm pretty sure it adds more of a iniial punch/blast for wheelies and back flips. Max power and speed I believe are the same.

I did this on day 2. Have since settled down to punch setting 5 or 6 for better control in the air! It will still do rolling back flips to.

I changed it to 9 so the kid could do backflips, but I really don't think its great for the drive train. When we first got it, the thing would do rolling backflips stock, but then it wouldn't when I changed the pinion so I upped the punch. I assume that the arrma pinion was glued on with red loctite and that let it do backflips at standard punch setting. I believe the other pinions were moving slightly not giving enough power to do the backflip.

Mine has been on 9 since before it even hit the ground lol.

when you changed the pinion, did you keep the same tooth count or did you go up a cpl teeth?
