Hello to everyone I have a Venom Quad 4 charger can this charger handle 4s & 6s charging or do I need something else. Thanks and happy holidays.

After doing more research I found out this charger will barely do a 4s Li-Po thanks anyway.

I bought the charger last year I was charging 3s Battery for drones but now I would like to get the typhon 6s and run it on 4s thanks for the reply.

It’s a 100W charger. It will charge a 4s at around 6 amps, so it will be find for 4s under 7500mah or so (preferably under 6000mah).

But for 6s I won’t be enough. Not for the mah needed for these cars.

It will still charge a 6S but will likely charge at less than 1C, so will take time. I believe that charger is a 4x7A or 4x100w charger.

This goes over the math a bit:

Volts * Amps = Watts

Example:
22.2v (6S) x 5A = 111W (1C)

So, if you had a 5000mah 6S pack, you would need a charger capable of putting out 5A and 111watts. The venom quad has enough amps, but not enough watts to charge that pack at 1C. It will still charge it though. It will just take longer than it would if you had a charger capable of 120watts.

A 5000mah 4S pack would require 5Amps and 74watts to charge at 1C.
14.4V * 5A = 74 watts

I have a dynamite quad charger that is 4x10A or 4x100w. Up until recently, I was charging either 7200, 7400 or 9000mah 2S packs and it could charge them all at 1C without much issue.
7.4V * 9A = 66W
