Hey Guys and Gals

Question in regards to charging a NIMH battery, is it safe to still leave the battery strapped onto the unit and have it charged OR is it better to remove the battery and charge it?

And Yes, I have not gone down the LIPO road as yet as I am waiting for spring to roll around where I can run the granite outside, so in the meantime, still learning to run this badboy inside without crashing into the walls, furniture, wife, kids and pets :)

Thanks All

It is better to remove the battery from the unit in order to visually inspect it for damage and to charge it in an environment that is fire resistant. That said, I've certainly done it, and I bet many others have too.

Which NiMH batt are you using? I just ordered (2) 8.4v venom NiMH batts. One is a 5000mah 6 cell and the other is a 300ah 7 cell. Wasn’t sure if the 7 cell would fit so I just ordered one of each. I wanted to compare them to LiPo and see if there is that much of a difference to justify the extra price and safety issues of the LiPos.
