Not these days for sure. Unfortunately kids today don't know anything unless they can google it... and even then they are misinformed or just plain ignorant to what they actually find.

get one of these! Worked like a champ! Seriously, check out anywhere tat sells cigars if you want a mini torch.

I'm hesitant about using a cigar/cigarette torch lighter due to the time needed to keep it lit for some rc jobs. Don't trust the cheap plastic

I've been using the Bernz-O-Matic micro torch and have been very happy with it. Pretty darn inexpensive as well.

@Sledgehog you won't regret it. It's a good tool to have. Pick up an extra can of butane too. They were on sale for $2.99 when I got mine. Just keep the cap on it. There's nothing protecting the nozzle otherwise???
