Typhon Check my MINI 100+MPH TYPHON

Started with old v1 granite blx,swapped on vendetta towers an suspension,typhon 6s body&wing..pulled system out 105mph lwb with notorious body..this swb is much lighter,narrower,and more aerodynamic. Mmx6s, tp4040, running 4 an 6s.waiting on more parts an lots of changes to come to car while testing

This setup is 1lb an 3oz lighter than a typhon 6s setup similar with same 6000mah 4s pack....that's major in a -7lb car...should be a rocket.should result in less amp draw an allow for more gearing than lwb setup...

Also anyone wondering what will fit in 1/10...

Heres lwb with 40×92 an mamba monster x 8s sitting on chassis.. I DID CUT RECIEVER BOXS OFF SERVO MOUNTS ON BOTH....removing rx box was easy. Must use motors without protruding shaft in rear thou

I’m working on my typhon now and the stock diffs are binding super bad. Need to grab some metal gears and shims

You'll need the brace & bearing. The driveshaft cd hums over 90 and will rub against the esc or servo mount

100%stock basher diffs..wanted to try um before I do the usual 20 million packing...going for first run now,4s in subdivision spot up street. Expecting 80ish mph...excited to compare log from yesterday...

Here from 1st runs with swb....front end looking light ,definitely have to much rear wing,very impressed with control an it going strait.think I forgot to get pic from yesterday's mmx6s tp4050cm 2300kv 4s pass with same spool just way smaller swb,detta suspension, an at least 400ish grams lighter,bigger notorious body....weight difference is noticeable in braking speed and adjustment,locking brakes up on full brake now...also acceleration ...I was expecting it to be all over ,getting zero traction with the what feels like damn near empty diffs.not really wanting to change anything but wing.....need 20 mill in front to keep from diffing out an more traction. Up fro. Pulls the car keeping it more strait..ill try it on 6s first...I should ripped off some 188ft pulls with both setups.heres a little 1 handed driving video

I love to push things to there breaking point,I'm still running a plastic spur,,,gotta metal 34t on way.once I tear up rear diff I'll go metal.ive never stripped a front before...always rears..check out front of mini typhon,would look good on yours too..doubles as downforce to front too.ya should setup that swb you where talking about...power-to-weight ratio that would make evil knievel giggle like a school girl..

Short an wide,,what body ya gonna run??going from lwb ,typhon arms to swb vendetta arms,towers shredded 300grams....then 4050 to 4040,I used plastic t-buckles instead of shocks,tried to keep things light........my Dumbazz removed wing an installed defuser hoping for enough down force,gained 4mph but lost it braking an slid into curb,cracked chassis......NEW one is 5$
These swb are very finicky to drastic changes.so light,not much time to make corrections when they get loose.ive done some overpowering to rcs...this mini on 4s is right up there with my craziest ones far as performance. Strait rocket

Mounted typhon wing mount,,,these 85mm hoons weigh the same as 98mm grps.shouldn't have bout them.hoons never make it..look cool though

After totaling out the mini-typhon I've just about got her rebuilt.new everything.getting parts tto finish monday...85mm hoons,granite swb chassis.mamba monster 2,30$ goolrc 3670-2850kv, 28/38 gearing...pinion almost as big as motor...lol..super light setup,see what this 30$ motor can do.i expect 110mph before it dies...

All in all last one handled way better than expected..put the power down an went strait...VERY CHEAP 100MPH CAR..
Spent about 100$ at jennyrc.
80$ on good used mm2 an 30$ on motor.
Rest parts I already had...I got 200$ in it do far..bout to spend 100$ on tp motor then I'll have 300$ in an car I expect 130mph out of

I've bought many used castle escs off ebay with good results.speedrunni g burns um Up quik.i always look for ones w/o cappaks an of course condition.if ya ran castle escs ya know what to look for.always bidding on used cc escs.speed an buying cc esc go 1 an 1.
This one looks good,it was either ran off a 2s battery or tested with a 2s pack..nice velcro job..plus theses mmmx8s escs have a 80$ core charge throu castle.when it don't work send to castle an get brand new one for 120$$..I'd buy if a little cheaper
