Any way to test drive cars?

Hard to choose what to buy next. Fell into a small sum of money. Nothing life changing.

Enough to have some fun with

Not sure what to buy.

Racing or basher. I like both

The kraton has my eye

But so do some short course Trucks

Or buy all the boost cars. Lololol.

Lots to choose from.

Where do you live? Maybe someone here would take you out bashing with them.

What kind of terrain seems more fun to you? Off road or parking lot?

Dc ish area. Not Parking lots. Guess a cross between yard racing and skate parks. Jumping. Not huge. But yeah. Scared I might like huge jumps and pay for it. 😆

You'll want decent ground clearance, a wide footprint, and a long chassis for grass/yard racing.
You'll want big tires for air control while jumping at a skate park.

Kraton 4S or Kraton 6S is my recommendation. The 6S version is much better if your budget allows.

Get yourself a KRATON!! You will love it! I would say get a Talion but $749 is ridiculous! Great truck but too high!
Besides you can put Talion tires on a kraton and it’s practically the same thing. To me you get the Outcast ,and Talion when you buy a Kraton. Get tires or a sort chassis from Jenny’s and you can make all three!

I'm totally in my head now. But yeah. Like real life. There is a reason to own more than one kind of something. Too many ways to go

Been reading about kraton 6s and finding they need a lot of work out of the box... or could break somewhat easy... the servo saver being one issue. Watched a guy jump on grass and bend his frame in 5 mins

But... always depends on what you do and luck

Kraton 4s seems cool. And the 3s. But my guess is I may as well go 6s and run 3s.

No way I'm buying a 8s. Lol. 1000 bucks and another few hundred for batteries. I'd destroy it too with things I'd come up with

The track near me runs buggies. And those are an easy 1000 when done... but man are they nice.

I'm torn. Stick with what I got

Guessing for parts and betterment of cars. The more you spend up front the less you spend on the backside.

Guess around 500 is what I'd like to spend only cause I know that goes up with batteries. And upgrades and fixing.

Ugh... brain overload

Not sure where you heard that about the Kraton 6s, but they don't need work out the box other than check the diffs, and they are really durable.

Watched a video of a brand new one. Bent the chassis. The servo saver is part of quite a few others. May be different versions... of same kind

I mean. I get everyone has preferences. Maybe they are picky people

They were talking chassis upgrade while driving it for the first time too.

I have decent luck. Like I said. Im in my head. But if you own one you know more than me. I'm just watching things to see what's what. They aren't always right.

Anything can break. There are no 100% break-proof RC's.

That said - the Kraton is one of the toughest out there. Get the EXB. The diffs alone are worth the EXB. Get a Max6 1650 combo. Will have a killer rig.

That sounds Mike a great idea. Thanks

Guessing the roller comes with better parts than the RTR... it's a lot of mumbo jumbo to read through and compare

You might be getting confused with the 4s kraton. The 6s RTR Kraton will NEED much less to be fun to drive out the box. A more mature platform. All RC's need some attention and some upgrades. Some Need major $upgrade$ "Fixes" due to design flaws. 6s platform is Not one of those platforms. If you never had an Arrma 6s platform it may seem harder. They are actually easier to work on. Way less significant upgrades are needed. Just add Front and Rear Alloy chassis braces, and have fun. There aren't many costly or significant, inherent Flaws to the 6s line, Unlike the 3s and 4s line. Which you are familair with. If you have a 3s already, it is logical to step up to a 6s platform at some point. Just do it.
Don't get stuck on the 4x4 line. Change it up.
You are missing out if you don't.
My spin.

Well. It's the 6s that people seem to have the issues with. I skipped watching vids on 3 and 4s. Cause if I do it I want one and done

I'm still happy with my cheapos for now. Seeing what I can do on the cheap with them. Fast enough for my home course.

Any faster I'll be driving into the trees. ;)

if you learn to drive the 6s line and your not crashing all the time they are very capable in stock form (y)

Nothing wrong with running 6s platforms on 4s. For smaller areas. Will be even more durable this way. I do this on occasion with some of my 6s rigs. Even my Lim.

Yeah. That would be the idea. I really don't think anywhere I have found to drive other than a parking lot would need more than 4s unless I wanted talbot style crashes.

The skate parks here aren't the best. The best jumps have huge Lips that send the car in reverse. May get a back flip. Or no run up area to get speed before a jump. Just tight packed ramps. Is what it is
