Kraton Cleaning a kraton?

How do people go about cleaning a kraton. Can we just blast it off with a hose or would a full strip down be more beneficial? ?

I do both. I’m careful with a hose though. I usually use that for the a-arms and the underneath of the chassis. I don’t hose the inside. They say it’s all waterproof, but I’m not forcing water in there, I use a leaf blower to dry if off after. Then every few weeks I tear it down and inspect/clean. You be surprised what hidden damage you can find and this is a good time to clean and lubricate. I started using simple green and it works well. You can clean with wd-40 but don’t use it as a lubricant, because it isn’t. I use a dry lube. For the front and rear diffs I use a little marine grease. I don’t service my bearings, but you should. I just replace them because I’m lazy.
