Clear body question

I've been trying to figure out a way to mount a GoPro inside the body so it doesn't risk getting thrown off or getting destroyed. The thought I had was using a clear body and not painting the windshield.

Has anyone tried mounting a GoPro under a clear body windshield? Is it worth a try? Curious on thoughts.

I have not tried that, but I would imagine if its sunny out it will glare pretty bad, It may also give a hazy appearance with the lens looking through the plastic..

Maybe cut out the windshield but still mount the camera inside?

Yeah I was thinking that too. I may have to have a GoPro body and a non-GoPro body lol
