Clipless body reinforcement

Has anyone done the drywall tape, shoe goo reinforcement on the new clipless body's? Here the results good? Does it still clip into place with the extra thickness?

I do this to all of my shells but I'm hesitant because of the clipless mechanism. It works on the x maxx body but there seems to be more clearance there. Pics would be great if anyone has done it yet.

Try layering blue painters tape to check for clearance in the tight spots.
