Finished the beefcake exb kraton build I mentioned in another post. Mmx8s/1717 geared 20/50. I opted to shim the diffs out to be open. M2c chassis, hinge pin blocks/pins, shock towers/stand offs, center braces, and bladderless shock setup in fireteam shocks. Hot racing diff cases, center brace front mount, hubs, servo saver, and steering pillars. Rpm arms, wing arms, and rear wing brace to the skid plate, pps motor mount, jbi center brace rear mount and servo mount, reefs raw 500 servo with tall servo arm, 4th dimension Mmx8s mount, and probably more I’m forgetting now. Total time to tear down and build up was just over 13 hours and that could have been shorter without running into the snags hit with the “beefcake” m2c kit being geared at the rtr instead of the exb. Shocks are super plush and truck is a tank! As a note I would never run a truck this upgraded personally but it’s what dude wanted and paid for. I got to keep the 80% of the stock parts I took off 😂🤘🏻

Well done, man. That’s a nice tidy build! I’m sure the client will be very happy with it.
Sounds like he likes it. I think he expected a little better turning radius but I set the endpoints at where the steering was just about all the way stroked out. Told him he could take it farther if he wanted but i wouldn't recommend it. I haven't ever built anything for someone else but i've built so many for myself it was kind of cool to do this and see how it goes. Had to flip the fan guards over, the mesh was hitting the fans and i had hit it with a little superglue in the corners. It don't look too bad but i know my ocd self didn't like the logos not lined up on the pic above 🤣 that and some of the pics were from when i was having issues with parts and emailing m2c and then finding out the servo horn was going to be too low so if they look goofy or unfinished that is why.

That one will be back to u but just to change rear arms because Rmp on the back is a no,no,I got a regular k6 all m2c,HR,B.queen.and only in 2 year 1 arm and my beefcake K6XL rear arms done in 1 jump that that nobody imagine will break that easy, but awesome build and I wish people around here do that so I can do it,me personally I donit for free is just to much fun,Bless day everyone 🙏🙏

Yeah i've read a few posts now that say the rpm arms suck. I am holding off on my build til i see if he breaks them and if i need to send the stock arms out to him. He paid me for my time too thankfully

Hey u did an awesome job is me just owning 1 regular,1 xl that for sure happens to me,now wd40 always and no problems even on bad landings 🫣

I think your ring and pinion could use more grease. You missed a few spots but don't worry, I made them RED. :)

I don't skimp for sure. And dude said he was going to probably get it wet a bunch so i used lucas oil marine grease.

I play.. BUT, we all know what happens on that first throttle stab. You don’t have to do the maintenance on it do ya? 😂😂
I mean, if he wants to ship it back to me and pay $50 an hour i would in a heartbeat 🤣 I told him whatever he does he prob wants to heat the screws up that go into metal because all of them got a little loctite. Every time i buy a truck with aluminum bits added i always find stripped screws.

Nice build Caleb.
Honestly, I don’t get why someone wouldn’t do this themselves though Wrenching is half the fun.
Me either. I wrench 95% of the time and almost never run them once I’m done. My apt is full of cars 😂

Great build! Getting commissioned to build something like that is dream!

Do you have any close up photos of the MMX8s mount you installed?

Don't really know why anybody would go into this hobby if he doesn't wrench himself. Stuff breaks, bends and needs replacement. And as said before - wrenching is part of the fun.

Perhaps it's a cool grandpa who gets it for his own grown-up son. Now that's a really good present!!!!! (y) (y) (y)

Hey wives - read this! That's some way to get someone really happy! Pure romance!!!! 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 :) We guys never get flowers.... We are so easy to please.

Yeah it’s the 4th dimension mount. It screws into the esc mount in the stock spot and has tabs on top that sit over the edge to hold the Mmx8s in

That’s a super cool build, man. And that little pinion is just as cute as it can be!
(I’m getting way too accustomed to viewing speed run builds, I guess! 😂)

I put 20/50 on it hahaha. Most of my builds end up at 24/46

Smart, since it’s going to a client. And I’m quite sure it’s still fast as hell with that setup!
