Yeah, so that is not great. the problem is individual strands of the motor winding wires are lacquered, so soldering them is hard enough to be nearly impossible. You have to clean the lacquer off the strands before you tin the wires, and that is just not easy.
Yeah it sucks to get the enamel off. If you're lucky it's possible with a soldering iron and an aspirin tablet, this contains some kind of acid which dissolves the enamel. This didn't work for a motor I tried it on though
There's also a method with a heated up mixture of Caustic Soda (NaOH) and salt (NaCl) but that just sounds too dangerous to me.
I ended up simply scraping each wire strand slowly and carefully. This takes a ton of time to do it right...
