Nothing special here but it doesn't look like too much is going on so I figured I'd share it. This budget system allowed me to run a full 5000mah 6s Turnigy HD pack on a 22 tooth pinion and the motor temps were only at 145. The fan runs for over two hours continuously on one 1500mah 2s and I've got two of them on hand.??

Great idea! Got me thinking about where I could squeeze a small battery like that in my Outcast. Velcro to the center tower maybe:unsure:

I have several of these smaller 2s packs from quadcopters and now I'm motivated as well. One of those easy lipo alarms on the balance lead wouldn't be a bad addition if you're lazy like me.
It definitely performs better than it would on a 6.0 or 7.2 Bec too.

Yep, with all that amperage on tap it will do.

If your receiver allows for 7.4v I'd disconnect the esc's bec completely and run all the electrics off the 2s lipo (along with a cap or 2) It frees up all the Lipos power solely for the motor and should help the esc run a tad cooler.
