I have watched a few good videos on how to set the endpoints having changed the radio and I get the idea. However, one thing that isn’t clear is, should I set them with the car off the ground or on its wheels ?

I assumed that it would be with the wheels on the floor due to the extra friction of the floor, however I have also been advised to set them with the wheels off the floor, they suggested that although they won’t appear to move as much once the car is resting on the floor once it is moving, when I turn it will still go all the way to the end points with the extra pressure (but not with the car stationary)

So, what is the correct way to set the end points ?

Yep, off the floor.. when its in motion the steering resistance will be a fair bit lower.
