Crap! Horizon Hobby just increased prices overnight!

Time to look for other brands/vendors.

I was shocked. Every single item I looked at has gone up in price. Not just Arrma and the other horizon owned brands either.

people will have to give the hobby up if things keep going up things used to go up an extra say 10 pounds now they go up an extra 50 pounds at once same with every thing now though

I haven't shopped at any hobby shop in years. Everything way over priced..I don't care about supporting someone else's wallet..I only care about mine so I take my business else where

My LHS is way overpriced. I use it for one thing.. Tamiya PS & TS paints. They're still very cheap.

Gladd you can get paint cheap at your lhs ..not the case at mine.

Like everything else they go up ,and stay up ,and we deal with it or you can always buy used

I don’t think it will be a surprise to anyone to see how it goes. At least for those who have been paying attention. Every component, nut, bolt, electronics, etc. comes from China. Like most everything else in your house. It’s about to get very, very expensive to be an American consumer.

Thankfully I'm content with my small fleet, don't have the need or urge to add any new rigs, especially with the way these prices are going up. Fleabay and sliders will be the way to go. Wouldn't be surprised if LHS started closing their doors soon.

I'm happy with what I have now. This really sucks!!!!!

The kicker for all of this is the new tariff implementation for all imported items. Small packages under $800.00 have never really been taxed or had duties applied, but now supposedly every little package will be and have a 25% tariff added to it. I can’t imagine how Customs would even do that, given the volume they’d be flooded with. Can you imagine how many little $5.00 packages come from just AliExpress on any given day?
That’s why companies are so nervous and are raising their prices in anticipation of this looming nightmare.
It will for sure add a huge length of time for deliveries, and we’ll be back to 6-8 week shipping times or longer all over again. It freaking sucks, man. Keep your fingers crossed that a way better solution is in the works…
