Is there a trick to getting the cross pin out? I assume this is what's needed to get to bearings.

Hmm nope. I swear I didn't see a screw. Guess I'll look again.
Ahh found it covered in dirt. Let me guess this has red loctite on it?!

not sure lol but it shouldn't be to hard to remove if so heat up alittle it should be fine if you have a sautering iron you can place heat directly on the set screw

Most of the grubs I have removed have come out without issues. I have had one that stripped a bit and the grub.

Yes. It has red threadlock for sure. It's kinda tough but big enough to move with a strong L-shape allen key. Heat it up for a second and good to go.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I asked about covered wheel nuts in another thread and noone could tell me for sure if the tekno wheel nuts fit the 6s line with no issues. Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?

hmm. You need the tekno? I know the HR ones are maybe $19. I also got these for covered and easy fit. Good buy imo.

I can verify the HR ones fit and are tight. Can't see why the Tekno's wouldn't, unless they are shallower. The tread depth on the HR's is about 6.65 mm (thanks @olds97_lss for teaching me how to use my caliper to measure depth ?) so if the Tekno's are at least that deep, should be fine.

The tekno ones are $20 in the link I posted as well as on ebay :) I'd take Tekno > HR any day, but I'm kind of a fanboy I'll admit. :) PLus i like the dark gray of the tekno vs the bright red HR ones.

Lemme know how those nut caps work after some time. To me it just seems like they could possibly fly off during a race if not part of the nut itself and its not something I want to chance.

2 came off easy the other 2 not so much lol been that way on a few of my arrmas

I changed the fronts no problem, once I located grub screw. Now the input gear, that grub screw was very hard to remove. Thankfully my MIP driver handled it. I was able to take soldering iron to the gear and punch it out. Lots of red loctite needs to be cleaned off. Oh well half the fun of the hobby is tinkering/problem solving. The other half is crashing. Rinse and repeat.

I've run those ebay special for a while now and no issues. They actually replace the nut and screw on. I've only run em on my BRCC though I think. One concern on some of these brands is not knowing if the threads match up. Some don't match the thread spacing I've heard but haven't been unlucky enough to order a mistake yet. For instance, these cheaper ones specify in the description. I don't like the way they look either lol. At least they're "serrated."
