The way the esc is designed you would have to completely eliminate the shroud and mount directly to the heatsink on the esc.

Thank you for the photos and measurements. Perfect.

And how Wide, Long, and High is the as actual plastic casing of the ESC itself?

Plus, what size fan do you want your "custom fan cowl" to accommodate?

This is what Castle lists the specs as but that is including the shroud on I get the same for length and width, without the shroud on I get 18.5mm in the front I cannot measure the back where the cap packs are but I am assuming that is 34mm. In order to mount a fan larger than 30mm the shroud would have to be about 8mm tall in order to clear the cap packs in the rear.

Length: 2.19" (56mm)
Width: 1.86" (47mm)
Height: 1.33" (34mm)

I'm sure I could get a 40mm to fit.

Stock ESC Fan Casing delete..

This is a 10mm** Fan Raiser that allows you >> to get rid of the suffocating fan frame that restricts the air flow onto & around the ESC heatsink!

It utilizes my custom 35mm to 40mm Fan Adaptors.

(Note- it's in the upside down orientation in this draft.)

>>> For anyone who's already purchased my 35mm to 40mm Adaptors and want these raisers ,please PM me and I will get you taken care of 👍

** Will clear the top of the embedded capacitors.

For anyone who's looking to Enhance their 150A ESC cooling from the stock 35mm fan to a larger 40mm aftermarket unit..

Here's what I came up with.
Ultra Low Profile
version 6.6

M3 nuts can be inserted to the bottom of the Top plate to more securely mount any height of 40mm High Power Fans that you deem necessary to blast your ESC. 🤣

NOTE-
I would advise to double check the length of your M3 screws (for your choice of 40mm fans) to make sure it's Not too long to where it may tap into the OEM shroud.

Here's the adapter installed onto a stock Spektrum Firma SMART 150A ESC.
The OEM 35mm internal fan has been removed ,but the shroud is retained.

Longer M3 screws are used (18 to 20mm length) which can reach the original Heatsink Mounting Holes/Bulkhead.
(You are Not screwing into the tiny fins.)

40mm Fans are bolted onto the Top plate-
(I'm thinking of offering a choice of enhanced fan shrouds to choose from.. I'm not sure if there's any interests.. Let me know.)
