For anyone who's looking to Enhance their 150A ESC cooling from the stock 35mm fan to a larger 40mm aftermarket unit..

Here's what I came up with.
Ultra Low Profile
version 6.6

M3 nuts can be inserted to the bottom of the Top plate to more securely mount any height of 40mm High Power Fans that you deem necessary to blast your ESC. 🤣

NOTE-
I would advise to double check the length of your M3 screws (for your choice of 40mm fans) to make sure it's Not too long to where it may tap into the OEM shroud.

Here's the adapter installed onto a stock Spektrum Firma SMART 150A ESC.
The OEM 35mm internal fan has been removed ,but the shroud is retained.

Longer M3 screws are used (18 to 20mm length) which can reach the original Heatsink Mounting Holes/Bulkhead.
(You are Not screwing into the tiny fins.)

40mm Fans are bolted onto the Top plate-
(I'm thinking of offering a choice of enhanced fan shrouds to choose from.. I'm not sure if there's any interests.. Let me know.)

Now thats cool man, great work.

Thank you sir.

Are you selling these? Any other colors?

Yes.

Colors-
Silver, Black, Red or Blue.
If you have any special color requests.. Let me know. I'll see what I can do.

If you are interested, PM me with title- 35 to 40mm ULP Fan Adapter

These look great. Can you make the same thing for the Max 6? I'd definitely love to use 40mm fans on that.
Ohh ya that adapter is definitely needed. I run mostly the 160amp esc but have both.
Will that work on the 160amp or would it need it's own?

Very good questions.
If you would take some photos with a ruler next to those ESCs. Particularly next to it's mounting holes.. I'll check to confirm if they will fit without any modifications or new adapters are needed.

160amp Spektrum esc
I see 32mm outside to outside of mounting holes. 29mm id
Would like to know if they will fit. Let me know if more measurements are needed.

I can confirm that my adapters will fit your 160A ESC.

Your outer dimension of 32mm matches my 35mm Fan outer hole spec. (I'm validating it against both my ESC off my Infraction 6S AND Mojave 6S)

However, I believe you mis-read your inner dimension (29mm?) should be 26mm instead. If so, then it is confirmed correct also.

Let me get my wife to help me take some photos to double confirm the measurements.
Give me a moment.

The mounting holes are the same, you can use the same fans on both the max 6 and the firma 150a. That means it would work right? I'm trying to avoid looking for a ruler :ROFLMAO:

Good design. Enough stand off distance to actually make use of the additional airflow capability of a larger fan. I wonder though it the stock shroud will restrict outflow too much without modification. Might want to cut/drill some holes in the sides of it.

That's Correct.

The Only thing you need to be sure of is the depth (or height of the Max 6 OE shroud) to the bulkhead screw holes, so that the supplied screws I provide will reach.

Or, you can use your own correct length screws.

Either way the adapters will work!

Thank you sir.

That was one of the key points I wanted to make sure my adapter provided.

I wonder though it the stock shroud will restrict outflow too much without modification. Might want to cut/drill some holes in the sides of it.

If that's one of your concerns.. I could design an open-frame standoff that allows you to remove the OE shroud and leave the entire area of the stock heatsink exposed
,and just have my adapter and your new 40mm fan blowing air directly on/at the fins wide open.
NO air restrictions of any kind.

Let me know if that is of interest to you..
If so, I'll draft up a design for the un-restrictive standoffs.

These measurements were taken off my Mojave 6S Spektrum Firma 150A ESC ,which appears to be the exact same for a 160A ESC.

Feel free to put a caliper to your ESC to confirm your fitment and if you have more questions, please post them here.
I'll be happy to answer.

You should open an ebay store!! lol

This should also work for the BLX185.

You know what I want a fan shroud for the MM2 and MMX.

Okay.

If you wouldn't mind providing some specs on the OE fan and
photos (with the ruler) next to its mounting holes, I'll get something started..
See what I can do for you.

That's the problem, the fan attaches to the shroud not to the esc, the shroud attaches to the esc but is made out of super thin plastic that is easy to break. I'll have to see if I get some pics if I can get the shroud off without breaking it again..................

Oh....
I see..

Well, if you can get me some outer dimensions of the ESC's overall size and the fan area (on the outside the shroud)
I believe I can come up with some other solutions.

This is the MM2.

The stock fan is 30x30x7.5mm.

The fan is held in place via 4 posts apparently I'm missing one.

The way the esc is designed you would have to completely eliminate the shroud and mount directly to the heatsink on the esc.
