What filament are you using for this? Nice design. Also how thick is it?

I'm using PLA+ for testing and confirmation..
Will print in PETG on final.

Thank you sir.

It's at OEM 3mm thickness ,currently.
I've designed it 320.2mm total width.

I can print Thinner if you intend to "stack" it with a carbon fiber splitter, so it can double as a "splitter protector" for the CF you already have.

I'm in talks with someone local that has a fairly nice Pre-Owned Infraction V2 for sale..
Hopefully I can close the deal with him tomorrow.
then I can really test out the fitment of my design!

Just a heads up, but PETG is pretty brittle and won’t hold up very long on a splitter. You might want to look into PCTPE, which is more expensive but is like a firm TPU to me. It still has some give to it, but can be pretty stiff with the right print setup. I’m using it for all my parts that need impact resilience.

That will be something I'll look into in the near future ,for sure.
At the moment I have a shelf full of PLA+ and PETG that I've already invested in.. Plus I have tested and calibrated my printer for these filament materials at hand.

If/when I can make a little to cover my expenses, I plan to go into Vendor status here in this forum..
Once that happens, my wife already given me the 'green light' to look into going Bigger into this venture and possibly start making my parts in Carbon fiber, 7075, Titanium.
So, I'm definitely wanting to make this happen!
One step at a time.

It's way too toasty at the moment.. 95° in the shade, feels like 104° out in the direct sun.

Will get this rig cleaned up and I'll test fit the splitters tonight.

Nice purchase!
I didnt know you had an interest in on-road RC.

Does the wife know about this one or the other yet?!

Nice purchase!

Thanks man!
Funny thing is.. I picked this up from a guy in your neck of the woods, literally.

I didnt know you had an interest in on-road RC.

It's ALL your fault!
After visiting your shop and seeing all the stuffs you're working on for speed builds...

Guess I picked up the itch for some of that road scorching fun too.

Does the wife know about this one or the other yet?!

Hahaha..
Yeah.. She knows about this one! Cause she show me dragging a large box into the garage on our security cameras...
And, the BIG box has ARRMA on it with the image of the vehicle plastered all over it...
Kind of hard to hide this one.

(But she hasn't noticed the other 'car' yet... ssssssshhh. Don't tell her.)

Thank you.

Nice!!

As far as I've been told -the original owner said he didn't do any tweaks or modifications to the vehicle. It's basically bone stock.
All he did was cut down the battery straps (way too long?) and put on another set of tires (the originals was burned up after 4-5 packs.)
So, he's had it sitting on the shelf ever since..

Here's some more pics of the underside of the car from yesterday that I didn't upload..
It's got some minor scuffs along the leading edge of the stock splitter and undertray of the chassis, nothing major from visual inspection...

Those are typical of what you would expect from 'normal' usage, right?
Never owned a dedicated on-road car (anywhere close to this Infraction) before ,so I'll leave it up to you fine fellows to clue me in on what to look out for..

Alright..
Giving it a good blow cleaning

That level of wear could be done in a single pack, or worse.
