Kraton Damaged drive shaft cups after 3 hours normal?

Its only on one side in the rear and its not even the part of it that gets attacked when going forward. Any suggestions whats happening here?

Not landing in throttle. Only breaking in Air basically. Im confused

That’s normal as the pin material is harder/tougher than the outdrives now.

If the outdrive is treated too much like their first batch that the YouTubers got released, half of the cup will fail in shear/shock.

I still weld them back up one time before completely discarding if there isn’t too much shaft wear, here’s a set I replaced at 20 packs from an 8S Mojave

Normal for the right rear to do that. Keep an eye on it. Replace when the dogbone has too much back n forth rotational play.

As long as nothing is binding and no bearings are rough or balls/races let go.

That was the last version of weak inner hub bearings, those are a huge failure mode.
