In looking for a body to match the incoming 1/8 Porsche rally circuit in my neighborhood, I have found myself browsing the options for Limitless GT bodies. I noticed Deltaplastik has a few new bodies on pre-order. I figured it was time to break down the different 1/7 GT body options in a single thread.

Starting with Deltaplastik:

Toyota GT One:

Jag XRS LI:

CR7:

CR8:

1623858658770.png

Similar to the Proline/Protoform option, a different model is used, as the wheel wells are symmetrical in size front to rear, as opposed to the other two brands which have oversize rears for fitment on the Felony.

FC100:
https://deltaplastikusa.com/collect...cts/8507-fc100-for-arrma-infraction-limitless
1623858286164.png

This body also comes with a Felony option, which widens the rear track, and can be fit to a V2 infraction using stock wheels by installing Kraton stubs, hubs, and hexes.

Ferrari F50:
https://deltaplastikusa.com/product...-for-arrma-felony?_pos=2&_sid=fd91181fe&_ss=r
1661745278345.png

Similar to the one above, this body is designed for the Felony with a wider rear track, but can be used with symmetrical wheels by adding Kraton stubs, hubs, and hexes to the rear.

Thunder Truck (F150):

Porsche 917:

Dome:

Prototype IR:

Mercury Coupe:

One of the best looking 1/7 bodies, if you aren't looking for top-speed, in my opinion.

Lotus:

"The Mule":

Awkward picture angles make it hard to tell, but this is a classic El Camino

Admittedly, I am not sure why someone would get one of these, beyond memes of course.

When I saw Bitty's Seven65 I immediately ordered it as the body which to me looked something like if a McLaren P1 and F458 had offspring. I think I mated it to the chassis about two weeks ago. It was the first RC body I'd painted in >30 years as the infraction v2 I bought in January this year was my first return to the RC world since my teen years. Painting the inside of bodies definitely has its challenges but I think, all in all, it passes as a car.

765 rear top side view.jpg

These were the first pics I took right after finishing the painting. I've since added front and rear lighting. Since no light kit exists as of yet (I don't know if there are any plans at all for making one be it OEM or third party) I decided to work with what's available and finally wound up dropping in a set of the front and rear light buckets that are normally paired to the Killerbody 1/7 Corvette GT2 body, though they did require extensive modification to adapt them to fit in the seven65 body. The light for the tail lights are just four standard, run of the mill red LEDs. In the front I wanted something with a little more balls and decided on two pair of the G.T.Power high power headlight systems. The LEDs are are each mounted in a full reflector which first needed to be removed so the lights could be fit into the front headlight buckets. This required some further dremeling and shaping but in the end I got everything all mounted up and I've connected to one of the toggle switches on the RC6GS transmitter for on/off duties. I don't have much in the way of long, straight and devoid of traffic streets in my area but the main road that my road connects to is only a minute's walk from my front door. Its not ideal, but for the time being it will have to do. It's roughly 300m of, not perfect, but useable asphalt. Traffic remains the only real issue so I find myself doing my speed runs, more often than not, in the wee hours of the morning between 2am-4am cuz that's about the only time of the day (aside from Sundays) during which I can blast my car uninterrupted for a few seconds as fast as I can/dare to do...which is also the reason for actually needing the light kits on the car so driving is even possible at all. My current PB is 168km/h with my eyes firmly set on the 200km/h mark.

Anyways, that's my introduction of me and my Infraction to the forum so, keep your throttles pinned and one rim on the precipice. Cya soon.

Diem

Great job on the body, love that paint color.. These are definitely the best looking bodies for the 1/7 Arrma so far

Very nice Diem!

I assume you're not running a castle mmx8s or xlx2 esc (yet)? That will make the 200km/h mark a lot easier.
Thanks man. BTW, I hope your foot is still healing well and that you're on track to a full (sans one toe) recovery. I plowed into my left foot in February I think, though not nearly as fast. I'm guessing it was around 40km/h +/-5. The splitter caused a minor laceration from the ankle to the top of my foot and I had a limp for 2-3 weeks but nothing serious thankfully. It was my own fault, I was running a pair of worn out Hoons and the road wasn't wet but there was definitely moisture visible on the asphalt. So I got off easy with a black eye (or foot as the case may be).

I am actually. I got the CC MMX8S & 1520 motor combo. It became obvious fairly early on that the Spektrum 150 just didn't have the thermal capacity to support serious speed running. I'm certain the car can do well over 200km/h but I just got back into RC in January of this year after a 30 year absence and I'm trying not too make the speed jumps too big and am actually spending a fair amount of time at each successive level to get used to what the car is doing and in so doing, hone my driving to make the next step as manageable as possible. I think 200km/h will also be pushing the limits of what is possible on the road I'm on without getting stupid and or reckless. I also pack up my stuff and GTFO whenever I hear myself mutter the famous last words, "OK, just one more run...", I'm trying to keep the car in one piece for as long as possible until the inevitable big crash comes.

Thank you. I think I'd have to agree with you on the aesthetics. I will say this though, don't get this body in the hopes of it being anywhere near as durable and robust as the Infraction body. It's 1.5mm material iirc, but it is a lot more delicate and can be damaged rather easily by comparison. The Infraction body has surprised me on more than one occasion in its ability to absorb punishment. I got lucky when I tried my first actual speed run (I kinda tip-toed up the fort and didn't go balls out as soon as I got it on the road). I've never had anything like this happen with the original body, but as I got up to speed the car lifted and did a tripple backflip with a full twist at 158km/h. As the car was finishing the final backwards rotation the nose scraped along the pavement creating a minor tear in the plastic just above the molded in splitter and came to a rest on all four wheels in the middle of the road. After making a custom splitter for it (the seven65 body isn't meant to have a splitter like you have on the Infraction) re-fitting the Scorched RC wheel wells it appears that the lift issue is taken care of....for now anyways. We'll see what higher speeds have to say about that.

Every day it gets a little better. Prepping my car for when i can go out on the road again ;)
I remember going to my spot like 2 weeks before my accident with my interested uncle on wet conditions. Instead of some showboating, i stopped like 3 min in. Unsafe, we are heading back... It's not just 'just the one more run' muttering, also when not to run at all ;)

On the ESC side you should be fine. I have no personal experience with the 1520, but similar ones. Being designed for 1/10,1/8 scale those really do top out at ~205 and get really hot on a big 1/7 scale. You are running some cooling on it, right?

I am now painting and reinforcing the PF C8 body. It's also a 1.5mm one, so it needs some stiffening here and there. I also put in some hub extenders in the rear as it was designed for the wide reared Felony. I am surely gonna regret putting those on, it's gonna ruin the drive behavior and in my own muttering 'yet another critical part that can fail'.
I do like the size of the C8 body. Trying to fit 4x4S batteries was very hard with the unbreakable Merc body. This one gives me the GT 'all the space you could wish for' feeling again. The splitter being included in the kit is also nice :)

^^^ I agree. Detailed paint scheme effect, no doubt.
Just that all the beautiful body lines got lost in the effect unfortunately.

I think this is a great looking body, but the paint scheme is not doing it justice. (a little too busy and funky color used)

Maaaaaannn of course just couple weeks after I got the Gt one body😒 not that I don't like the GT one but man that GT8 and Hyper7 are sick! Guess I know what will be next anyways🤷

Proline/Protoform C8:
https://www.prolineracing.com/on-ro...tte-c8-clear-body-arrma-felony-infraction.asp
1623859013645.png

One of the only 1/7 GT bodies Proline/Protoform offer, reviews have the details of the casting being much sharper than the Deltaplastik, but it also is made of a thinner 1.5mm Lexan. This body is designed for fitment on the Felony with widened rear fenders and can be used with symmetrical tires front to rear using the same method as the Deltaplastik Felony bodies.

Proline/Protoform Skyline R-34:
https://www.prolineracing.com/produ...clear-body-arrma-infraction-6s/PRM158400.html
1661746891416.png

Another sharp casting with a thinner 1.5mm Lexan. This, in addition to the Mercury, are likely my two favorite bodies for non-speed cars.

Bittydesign Seven65:
https://www.bittydesign.net/en/seven65-arrma
1623859885114.png

Similar to the Proline/Protoform bodies, this body is one of the only 1/7 GT body Bittydesign offers, and also made of the thinner 1.5mm Lexan, however, unlike the C8 bodies from the other two, the Seven65 is designed with a track width the same in front and rear.

Bittydesign Jota:

1661747056089.png

Bittydesign Destroyer:
https://www.bittydesign.net/en/destroyer-arrma
1661747105624.png

This body has a couple of really cool features, including a selectable front clip, and various hoods. It seems like Bittydesign is really stepping up their game with this one.

Grafil GT8 Vision:
http://www.grafilbodies.com/prestashop/18-buggy-gt-models/62-gt8-vision.html
1661747366833.png

Grafil looks like the new guy on the block for 1/7 bodies, but man, do their cars look good. Very smooth lines, I wouldn't be surprised if these became much more popular as soon as word gets out.

Russian Unbreakable:
I'm not going to filter through all of these, as there are a TON of style options, but what sets them apart is their material. These are made of a very thick ABS instead of Lexan. As such they must be painted on the outside of the body, instead of the inside, and have a very fine mottled texture. Some people, myself included, have considered the possibility of a pseudo golf ball effect with the dimpling, but I have yet to see any conclusive evidence pointing one way or the other in speed impact. These are available on Ebay with a quick item search.

If there are any additional options that get released, or any I have missed, let me know and I can add them to this thread. Additionally, I can ammend the details and add any important information regarding a specific body. Thanks to @LibertyMKiii for adding a few of these bodies as they have been released in my absence.
