Talion diff fluid vs shock fluid

The talion requires 2,000cst shock fluid in its shocks. It is very hard to find any would using 2,000cst diff fluid work or does it need to be shock fluid?
Shock fluid and diff fluid are the same substance just marketed differently due to shocks traditionally taking a lower cst (viscosity) than differentials. As long as it equals 2000cst it will work as intended.

You probably could get away with using motor oil or thicker cooking oil if you were in a situation where you couldn’t wait for shock oil and a bash session was about to take place.
Nobody wants to miss a bash session.
