Granite Diff gear bearing removal problem

the bearing fell apart and this ring is stuck. Any ideas?

When replacing the bearings on these, i usually put it in the freezer for a while to shrink the plastic, which makes it easier to remove. Might be a bit harder since you don't have the whole bearing to use to pry it off.
 
Use a flat head to wiggle it, just a little bit. Then use needle nose pliers to finish the job by wedging the between the race and the gear. Again as a wedge back and forth.
 
Yeah, that specific bearing is a pain. What Slevin said, get a flathead inbetween there and just keep working your way by twisting once its in. Keep changing the flathead size as it slowly widens the gap. Once its wide enough for some pliers, clamp it down and use a mallet to drive it down.
 
If you use vice grips as @Dutch said and attach them parallel and twist that could free it up
I've been in tough spots before, I'll try every tool I have to. It will come off 1 way or another. If all else fails use a Dremel
