This is insane, a small 2 ounce bottle costs around ten dollars, rip off to say the least.

Where can I buy, if at all, affordable diff oil?

All online stores and Ebay the price is $10 or more for a small bottle.

I am with you...that stuff is expensive. Then again, never heard anyone say the hobby was cheap.

You can get a few diffs out of one bottle though.

I dunno about diff oil, but TLR makes 4oz shock oil for $7.

I paid $7 for the bottle on the left about three yrs ago, this week I paid $10 for the one on the right. C'mmon, thats ridiculous...

*ir sure is good stuff, much more quantity and lower price.

Hobbyking has them from $2-$5, but you have to order $50 in stuff or it costs $8 to ship........................
@Aussie RC Playground uses the Trackstar fluids in his rcs. I have been using their stuff as well for over a year now and it works great.

I saw a post one time from a guy on a different forum say that he uses Mobil 1 in his. Figures if it is good enough for his Harley it was good enough for his RC's. No idea what the cost per diff would be

I use Hudy oils on my diffs..

100ml about 3,4 ounce costs €10,75

But i think i can fill up around 20/25 diffs cups with that.. So youre looking at around 50c each cup..

They also put same stuff in 50ml bottles.. Costs 7€

Ive seen people come in my LHS and buy a bottle of 1mln thick oil.. For use in a turntable (the one you use to play vinyl records).. They buy that stuff in my LHS.. Cause.. The same stuff.. Costs around 5× when bought in the specialised music shop..

im going to buy two 100ml Hudy, light and heavy, then i mix self right ratios to my different cars.
this is the only way right now.

Hobbyking is out of most diff oils now

Price for "rc" black grease or diff fluid is unrealistic.

I spent $10+tax on a 1Ib/453g MOBIL 1 full synthetic grease ..pink. works amazing for bash diff gears ring and pinion...

And i just side swiped tree at around 40mph at park.... only lost rear dogbone in grass and finished off already cracked rear hub. Repaired center drive front pins. That's it...
My 2cc.
