I just purchased the V2 infraction and unlike a lot of people I’m looking to run a course in parking lots. To make the car a little easier to drive and most importantly save on expensive tires. I was planning on turning the punch down to three and possibly going with a 18 tooth Pinion gear, which might help the car from drifting when I’m not wanting it to any other thoughts or suggestions to achieve a good parking lot course truck?

If I understand correctly
Dropping to 4s for a diet and gearing for ~50 would give a more nimble, but still powerful enough rig. Probably your best bet if tire shredding isnt on the menu and running a track-like scenario.

Or 6s geared to ~70 if you still want the power but not the speed.

Either should run cool with plenty of torque if needed and enough speed for most bash spots.

Can lighten up the finger. Have a way overpowered rig will teach you throttle control quick.

Limit throttle to ~75% will both limit torque and top speed.

Limit punch if just instant torque needs to be reduced for a more drivable throttle curve.

Add expo (if radio has) to throttle curve.

Depends on the course layout, 18T pinion is still going 60+ mph on 6S with stock electronics.

Might want to look at gearing for 4S(dual 2s Lipos) if it's 60mph or less with tight turns to have a more controlled setup.

I appreciate your time, excellent suggestions and information. I was thinking about buying the DX6 transmitter. Do you know if the throttle expo settings are available on that?
