EXB or the regular RTR?Just got it about a week and front differential broke...any fix on this or upgrade parts ...haven't jump the car ..just straight runs and couple of wheelies
V4?
The gears are already metal, no upgrades unless you want to go exb...seeing the damage will help us determine a possible cause. Had you ever disassembled the diff?Just got it about a week and front differential broke...any fix on this or upgrade parts ...haven't jump the car ..just straight runs and couple of wheelies

I will be installing mugen shims aswell on my exb diffs the stock ones are way too small for no apparent reason my hobbyshop says 2-4 weeks of waiting but they have the v4 mugen shims they learned from me that the new mugen shims fits the exb differential and ordered them streight awayThe stock V4 sun and planetary gears are cast and made from cheap materials. Plus, the stock output gears are hollowed out which weakens it tremendously. If that wasn’t bad enough, the supplied shim isn’t wide enough to support the output gear, which causes either gear to break and/or pin to snap. Very poorly designed.
The ultimate setup would be to install Mugen C0230 and E0230 with shims E0206. These gears are CNC machined and made of stronger material... hands down.
With proper shimming techniques, this is as bulletproof a gearset as it gets. I run this setup in my entire 6s fleet (except Nero platform).

Im not talking about that im talking about the outside diameter of the shims they use small shims vs the mugen who covers the whole sun gearNo apparent reason? The V4 use 5mm outdrive shafts. The EXB uses 6mm shafts. There are your valid reasons.
Just got it a week ago I haven't touch nothing on there car...took it to the hobby to see if they had the parts..the open it up to see what was need it..The gears are already metal, no upgrades unless you want to go exb...seeing the damage will help us determine a possible cause. Also, you let the lhs work on your cars?! SACRILEGE!
Thanks for the info...? Good goin to safe this numbersThe stock V4 sun and planetary gears are cast and made from cheap materials. FWIW. The Arrma diff set part #220041 doesn't come with the out drive shims for some stupid reason. everything else is in there but them.
Those would be the shims I’m referring to https://www.amainhobbies.com/arrma-5.4x9.5x0.2mm-shim-8-ara709057/p967265Which shims are you referring to? I’m referring to the internal shims which cover the orings. These need to be changed for the Mugen units.
I will dry assemble my broken one and check. I was hoping to wait until my new gears arrived, but no harm in trying the shims out now.I cannot comment too much on the EXB diffs as I’m in the process of perfecting the RTR 6s V4 diffs. However, I know for a fact that the Mugen E2243 shims will work.
Perhaps veteran @bicketybam can weigh in here as he has a shtload of experience with the LSD units despite them released just a month ago ?
Maybe @jondilly1974 can give insight on this as well...?
