  1. Senton 6s
Well parts have started showing up and more are on the way. I currently have 3 senton 3s blx trucks. One is new and unopened. The other 2 get pushed to the limit every opportunity that we can. I will provide a detailed list of everything done to the trucks and can provide any answers that you may need about them. I will be uploading pictures whenever I can and if anyone notices a better way for me to do something then please speak up.

@Number1Phipps Quite a parts collection you have there. I love my Senton but I've had it a week now and it's time for upgrades ? I have enough questions to keep you busy all night lol...I'll start with the most pressing...

Are you running the Typhon suspension arms on the orange truck? Is that what is giving it the wider stance?...

Have you made any changes to the esc? I'm looking to upgrade mine...

Yep typhon 3s rpm front and rear arms along with correct turnbuckles for steering and camber. Stock driveshafts for now because they haven’t broke. The tires are also wider then factory, duratrax 5203 I believe picket st
Esc is warranty replacement blx120 but have beeen looking at going with the castle creations mamba monster

Awesome thanks for the info! I'll look into that. I've already replaced all bearings with sealed ones and upgraded to a 20 kg servo. My replacement radio - a dx5 rugged tx and sr515 6-ch rx, 2.8 proline trenchers on f-11 wheels w/ 12 mm hex conversion, 13T and 15T pinion, HR steering rack and pivot balls will be here mid next week along with a myriad of other replacement parts for things I'm likely to break lol.

Now I'm looking at a hobbystar 3670 3050kv motor and trying to decide on which esc to buy...any thoughts on this?

I would be looking into castle creations mamba x or the sidewinder4. Both are absolutely awesome if you are staying with 2 or 3 s you could probably get away with their mini one I’m unsure of the name of it but I prefer to go overkill.

Funny you say that...I put the sidewinder 4 w/ 1415-2400kv in my cart last night ? Glad to hear I'm on the right track ? Thanks for the info.

Nothing yet but jobs are paying well right now so I’ve got something in the works lol.

What do ya do for a livin'?...I worked as a brick/block/stone mason for 16 yrs...went back to College 4 yrs ago and got a civil engineering degree. Work as an estimator/project manager for civil construction projects now...little easier on the back and shoulders lol...still do the odd masonry job every now again to keep the skills sharp...

And that's a sweet ol' Ford you have there in your avatar...your truck? If so, what year is she?...Love the look of the old Fords...

I own and operate a property maintenance and remodeling company. Before that I ran a classic a car restoration shop. That ford in my avatar is not mine but I do own a 63 unibody f100 that we are slowly working on for my oldest son for when he turns 16. I also have a 40k mile 59 thunderbird that I’m the second registered owner of it.

Well I'm glad to hear business is good for you. More money to spend on rc's ? Nice! Lucky kid will have the coolest ride in his class!...And who doesn't love and old Thunderbird! Always been a fav of mine as my uncle had one as well...don't remember the year off hand but loved riding in that thing ti the car shows...?

My grandfather was a mason by trade. I did some masonry work as a kid. Do it for a day and you will learn it isn’t an easy trade.

Its def hard work, there is no doubt about it. Not many old masons and the ones that do make it to retirement never cease to amaze me. I did it for 16 years and had to quit at age 36 because my rotator cuffs were destroyed. I got so bad I couldn't lift a beer to my lips on the bad days and new it was time to get something done about it. I've now had surgery on both shoulders, went back to school and got an engineering degree and started a desk job...at least I can drink beer again! ??

Couple pics from today’s work
Chassis has been stripped down to just about nothing. I have been cleaning everything throughly on this particular truck but can’t seem to make the chassis look “clean”. I know it has scratches and what not because it’s not a shelf queen but I would like it to look a little better then it’s current state. So far I’ve tried simple green and scrubbed clean then sprayed off with water and dried with my compressor.
And for the record yes I’m working outside on a box because it’s nice outside and I usually don’t get to enjoy being outside at my house.

Sounds like we were doing the same thing today...some of my parts arrived last night so in between tending the children I was cleaning and putting the truck back together...

I already had it torn down and partially cleaned so this is what I started with this morning...

Finished with this around dinner time...
