Do spur and pinion have to be aligned?

I am not able to push the gear on any farther. Since they both have 100% contact is it fine to run even though it’s not centered?

It's totally fine, imo.

Is ok. I like to center the 2 if able for more error room, but as long as its fully engaged, your good to go.

Plenty of engagement. People tend to forget you can shim your center diff, especially if you have front/back slop to offset your gear location (like a spool).
