Does duct tape help reinforce the body?

I just wanted to reinforce it because it was chipping the paint/ screen printed paint off, and I ripped the back a bit, so I wanted to reinforce it before it rips more
thank you :D
I tried shoe goo on small cracks, more than an inch I bridge them with old gift cards- made it more solid than the body itself. I tried duck tape but they attracts dirt in a long run and it gets sticky... dry wall fiber is also good idea but a little pricy.

does the body get really heavy with shoe goo? do you brush it on thin layers or a single thicker layer?

Shoe goo should be light, and you use drywall tape with it and it should hold your body together fairly well. if someone can link the video of the guy who did the drywall shoe goo method I would greatly appreciate thay
