Arrma RC's
  1. Granite
  2. Senton 3s
  3. Talion
  4. Typhon 6s
  5. Typhon 3s
  6. Voltage
I know the manual says 3s-4s, but just like the BLX185 that also supports 3s, i was wondering if maybe the BLX120 supports 2s..

I was thinking of getting this ESC for my 3s Senton.

Thanks.

I don't think so, but could be wrong. Wouldn't want to find out on mine.

Im not sure.. So don't pin me down on it.. But.. If you read the message above..

Wouldnt see why you cant.. If you can run the BLX185 (wich pulls 150amps) on 3s
You would think you can run the BLX120 on 2s

Just make sure.. Your Lipo has more amps than your ESC pulls.. With a extra 20-25% safety

The BLX120 pulls 120amps.. So ill take a minimum 4000mah/40c battery.. That makes 160amps (4000 × 40 ÷ 1000)

Thanks,
I have no doubt that it "technically" can handle 2s, the question is if this functionality was locked on the firmware that Arrma uses. The only way is to try, i don't believe it can harm the ESC but i wouldnt ask for someone to try.. just maybe someone did try already and knows?

The BLX185 specifically states that it's 3,4, or 6S capable, on the ESC portion of the manual.

The BLX120 shows only 3S or 4S. So I would say no, it's not made to run 2S.

Funnily enough 2s on the 185 works very well.
I heard the most recent ones don't. They changed the programming in them apparently so you can only run 3s-6s now.
