Did you figure out the noise under throttle? Sounded like maybe a driveshaft rubbing or something.
Drive shaft was a little "shiny" in one area, but no wear that affected the integrity.

Next phase in progress. Downforce needed. Hope this helps

Little tweak on the Granite to help take out some slop where the hexes mount on the axles. Same idea as many use on the 6s. 6mm i.d., 8mm o.d., .25mm shims between the hex and the outer bearing. Huge difference in a setup that has a ot of play in all the cheaper plastic suspension components. Less wobble should translate into straighter straight line passes. Lessons learned right here on the Arrma Forum 👍

Fyi, for those who don't follow the speed demons section of the forum, my new personal best with a stock motor on 6s is 97 mph.

So tonight was a big step. I made a spool that will work with the 3200kv motor. The Granite is now 31t pinion and 45t spur, locked. Based on a 4s calculation, this is a 120 mph + truck now. I'm sure this will all end in a giant ball of flames, but I'm going for it. Wish me luck.

And here's a peak at the spool. Perfect mesh by just boring out one of the two 20t holes on the stock original mount. 31t pinion and 45t spur on a stock 3200kv motor running 6s. What could go wrong🤷🏻‍♂️

And so the saga continues. BLX 185 just isn't capable to handle the new gearing. Maybe a MMX 8s one day, but for now it's gonna have to be this rebranded Max 6 that I transplanted from my Notorious.

And for @The Donut Man, here's the video of that great 103 mph run. Yeah, yeah, had to remove some of the weeds when it spun off the road at the end, but that's why I like this spot so much. Radio gets super twitchy at a distance and I can barely drive as it is

Wait, did you think I would stop trying. Same set up but I shaved the lip on the front wing to reduce drag, oiled the wheel and motor bearings, then...........
