Thank you @Spoc85 and @Notoriousone
@jondilly1974 You need to get out, you are 4th on the 188ft list now, when the last season ended you where in 1st.
Lol I never really spent much time on 188ft. I spent way more time doing 0-40mph hits. I may get some time off late this summer but I’ve got so much work right now I no time for fun.

I know the struggle. I wish I had a full day to just play and test.

With the rapidly growing interest in drag runs so far this season, I have decided to put together an Arrmaforum Leaderboard for drag times.

Please note there are a few different classes, and they aren't all the same distance. Some are timed only, some are 132ft, and some are 188ft, based on a 1/4 mile scale.

Feel free to post your times here on this thread, and I will strive to keep it updated semi-regularly. In any posts you wish to have posted to the leaderboard, please include a header (in bold) declaring your entry so that there are fewer chances to have it buried. Similarly to the Speedrun PB list, there will be both verified and unverified runs, so feel free to submit both! To verify your run, the following must be true in an uncut video:
  • GPS must be set to Drag mode and zeroed out while the car is stationary, at the start of the run. Moving the car to the start after zeroing will void the run.
  • Record your run. At the end of your run, you must be able to drive the car back to the starting position without touching it. Digging it out of a ditch will void your verification.
  • Read and show the result of the run on camera. A screenshot needs to be attached to the submission as well in order to verify timing distance (or speed cutoff for the 0-40 class)
  • Remove the body of the car and clearly show the battery, chassis, and drive setup. Gearing specifics are not necessary, but battery cell count, 2wd/4wd configuration, and chassis type must be clearly visible.
The classes will be divided as follows:
  • 1/7 (Arrma on-road chassis, 6S max, 188ft)
  • 1/10 (Arrma 3S chassis, swb or lwb, 3S max, 132ft)
  • Unlimited (any chassis, any cell count, 188ft)
  • Unlimited 0-40 (same rules as unlimited, tracked by time to 40mph instead of time for distance)
  • 1/10 no prep (standard rules, 2wd, 2S max, 132ft) - * indicates 4wd modified to 2wd
Remember, you don't need a verified run to be included on the leaderboard! A screenshot of the GPS and a few facts about your car (class, chassis, cell count) to fill out the leaderboard is enough!

New to forum and get into rc drags with my 6s limitless. Just curious to why you don’t post the mph. It’s a tool you use you tune etc… and good to see what others are coming through at so you can compare etc… it shouldn’t be a secret. Your trap speed doesn’t matter in drags.
Or maybe I didn’t see it.
Thanks in advance.
Mike

Welcome!

You gotta look through the thread as plenty of us post our GPS results as well as setups.

I'm going to be updating the list soon and I got some new times with my two wheel drive drag car and a one to post the GPS and a photo of the car so it doesn't seem like I'm doing admin abuse and cheating the list. This was June 13th. We got a new body for the car it looks very nice!

I have a few when I was stuck in the 2.0s but it won't let me upload. I found the forum just looking for info on the arrmas.
Just upload the vid to Youtube and link it here.

So what is the 132’ PB right now? 1.890 @ 76mph by @RedondoBeachRC seems like the best I found looking quickly.

I went out today to do some test hits and my best was 2.450 @ 54mph as I didn’t have it geared up enough. I went up three teeth and will get back out this weekend to make some more hits.

Hoping to get 1.7sec tonight after some modifications I’ve made.

I’m not sure if I posted it here but my best 132ft is 1.82 at 76mph on 6S using a 1721-2400 motor (prepped on Orange BSR foams)

My gearing is 25/42 I think. I haven’t changed it much. I do wanna go bigger on the spool to like a 44t or 45t (I think this will get me to top speed in less distance is my thinking)

Last run I did just ripped through the rear diffs. So the power is there ;)

I do wanna run it on 8S, as it’s a whole different beast.. last time I tried is just tore through the foams. Asphalt was like a belt sander lol

I’m going back out too. Rain held off so I might get some hits in.

I need some tire prep. Can’t get faster than 2.350 @ 61mph

Easy to make. 16oz bottle of Karo light corn syrup and around 1/4 to 1/2 tablespoon of corn starch. Bring to a boil for a minute or so.

Haven't gotten beyond 1.92 @ 70 sofar myself so from what i see Peter still the fastest in here. Tried switching to a spool w/ 19/42 gearing and it kicked the pinion off and destroyed my gear (powerhobby gears seem to be very soft?) so have to grab another this weekend. Tried out a 50t diff locked and been 1.95 @ 70-71 a bunch with 22 and 23 pinions but just doesn't seem to wanna get beyond there.
