Drift Wheels

I need to have something that will harden the rubber on tyres to make it a drift tyre.
I can't use drift wheels for my car from the hobby store, as it is too small. I also can't use PVC pipe because nothing is the right size for the wheels and I have tried using tape around the tyres and all it does is chew the tape up.

Another option, use 17MM to 23MM adapters, and then get some cheap 1/5 scale wheels. They are a fraction under 6", so you could get some 6" PVC and bond it to those wheels. here are some adapters i found from Integy: https://www.integy.com/st_prod.html?p_prodid=8098&p_catid=93
