I need to have something that will harden the rubber on tyres to make it a drift tyre.
I can't use drift wheels for my car from the hobby store, as it is too small. I also can't use PVC pipe because nothing is the right size for the wheels and I have tried using tape around the tyres and all it does is chew the tape up.

This may not be what you are looking for, but what about ProLine Primes? They are a semi slick on road tire. Here is a link to them: https://www.rcplanet.com/tires-whee...mc-clay-off-road-1-8-buggy-tires-2-pro905617/
Pro Line ION's and Invaders might work too. They are all on road, or, at most off raod buggy tires, and a few of them have almost no tread. I also found this video while searching for something else: http://www.thercnetwork.com/rc-videos/rc-how-to/make-rc-drift-tires/
