Hi

Longer Dog bones would fix that problem.

What size would be acceptable and not introduce any binding?

Hi

Some of the guys here on the forum are using HPI dog bones. I'll take a look and see if I can find there posts.

Mine were getting chewed up like that when I was running blown out orings in the cups. New orings and no more damage. And you have to pull them out to really tell if they are damaged.

I would say this is considered "chewed up" 20160404_183037.jpg

That is exactly what mine looked like when I was having issues. They are 1.99 a set so I stocked up and replace them on the regular. That is also a point they recommend oiling after every pack which I have now started doing and it seems to help them live longer.
