I have posted about this truck here and there but never really did any sort of build thread on it. When the fireteam first came out I was all about it and had to have it. I upgraded it with m2c and JBI parts and what not and it was a great truck for awhile but then I ended up transforming it into a street truck.
I wanted to run a proline UDR body since I felt like they had a really nice shape to them. The biggest issue was the mounting of it since normally the UDR mounts to the cage in the back. So I cut out a piece of carbon that went straight across from one side to the other and drilled holes to slide onto the rear arrma body mounts and that worked out beautifully. The fronts I just used infraction posts.
The truck ended up having Mojave arms, shafts, and front hubs. But the rear needed kraton hubs along with m2c +5mm hexes on all 4 corners to get to wheel fitment that I wanted with 1/8th grps. It also has infraction front tower, shocks, and a carbon splitter. The rear kept the JBI shock tower with the fireteam rear shocks and heavier springs. It has the infraction rear diffuser and a perfect pass v2 batwing. I also locked all the diffs with scorched lockers.
I have been running a tp 5660 1460 kV motor and an XLX2 for a long time, it originally was run on 8s for some speed runs up to 125 and then I stopped and went to just street ripping on 6s
Recently I wanted to upgrade it a bit more so I purchased a scorched carbon mojave chassis knowing that the sides weren't bent up like the aluminum ones are, this allowed me to make carbon chassis extensions for the sides out of the same thickness. It came out great. I also bought scorched outdrives for the front and rear input gears. Then after doing all that and seeing @calebgilmore post up a dual PPS mount for sale I just had to do that as well.....the dual mount showed up today and I'm hyped thank you @calebgilmore
. I wanted to do a hobbywing setup because it feels like everyone does castle and tp dual motor setups so I wanted it a bit different. I opted for the max 6 5690 combos which should be arriving this weekend
totally excessive amount of power but I'm super pumped. It'll be run on 6s for fun and probably end up trying some speed runs with it. Idk how fast those g2 max 6 esc will go but I figure for most of my shenanigans they will be just fine.
Pictures show the truck in it's old setup and then it's it's current setup with carbon chassis
