Horizon should have known better than to include such a crappy radio with a car that does 50mph out of the box, that radio was known to have issues when it came out in early 2017.

The STX2 radio seems to not be compatible with some esc's. I've been using that radio in my vintage style Tamiyas along with their Teu101 esc and it works fine. No delay or lag. In my Kraton 4s it was useless with lots of delay.

The STX2 radio seems to not be compatible with some esc's. I've been using that radio in my vintage style Tamiyas along with their Teu101 esc and it works fine. No delay or lag. In my Kraton 4s it was useless with lots of delay.

Every car I tried it in it just had so much delay, even in a brushed rc with a Hobbywing esc.

Wow that's one beat up kraton. I wonder if he was tearing it apart to repair/clean then gave up halfway through???

He obviously disassembled it ,BUT there's Absolutely no indication of his attempt to clean Anything on the rig.... And looking at the thick layer of dust on the remote, it's been sitting around for some time now.

He gave some lame excuse of "...Not able to get much parts at HobbyTown... and that I've changed focused onto crawlers.."
I think he's a bit spoiled (that's the vibe I got) and had his jollies with bashing the snot out of this toy until it broke into pieces..
Perhaps he just didn't want to get his soft hands dirty.. IDK

In any way, did you get it running?

I haven't had the chance to clean it yet..
The frontend is wrecked and I haven't taken apart any of the diffs.

Will do a thorough cleaning & inspection this weekend.

I like a good salvage. Bring it back to life. Do it.
Its going to need a new front bulkhead. Screw hole broken off.
