Can anyone recommend a durable 30mm motor fan? I got the Arrma fan and it got trashed in no time. Fan cover torn after one run. Today I found a nice jump, then came home to find a fan blade broken off and the case cracked.
*Edit - actually the fan doesn't work at all anymore. Total waste of money if you're bashing/jumping.

yeah racing tornado aluminum fans are pretty durable.. ive been running several for a long while with no issues... they move some air as well..?

These work well:

They go on sale on occasion for $10. I usually buy a couple when I get an email showing that.

Got 3 on my outcast at the moment:

I broke the OEM fan in the max6 which is 35mm, then modified the 30mm fan a bit and it seems to work even better than the one it replaced. I had to egg out the holes on the 2 fans on the motor cooler as they were a bit thicker and wouldn't quite fit side by side. Just a little dremeling to egg out the holes a bit and they fit well.

That's a powerhobby cooler: https://www.amazon.com/Powerhobby-Aluminum-Heat-Turbo-Speed/dp/B07ZPN9BSF

Thanks, that's actually the one I was considering. What fan cover are you using?

i don't use a cover on them.. i leave them wide open.. i have not had an issue with them like that.. but i also do not own a rig (like the mojave/ senton) that has tires under the body.. ?

There are plenty of versions of the Hobbystar fan. Amain sells them too. eBay too

Thanks for the replies everyone. I found a good price on the HobbyStar. Also I think that mesh will work better than the fan cover I have now.
EDIT - actually the HobbyStar was not in stock, went with the YeahRacing

After several bashes that have broken other parts, The Yeah Racing Tornado fan has held up and continued to perform well. Thanks again for this recommendation.

No problem, glad it's serving you well.. ✌

Bummer to hear arrma fan isn't all that great because I just got one delivered this week.

With fans and powerful servo are you guys needing an external bec? I’m a little worried I’m pushing the limits of the blx 100.

Hmm, I don't think I can help you with that. I didn't notice any problems running my BLX100 with a Savox 1210SG servo and the Arrma fan. I don't know if the Tornado draws more power. I actually have the BLX120 now, but I can't remember which I switched first, the ESC or the fan, so I'm not sure if I ever ran the BLX100 with the Tornado fan.
