Where: Kuikensvendijk, Budel (Weerter-en Budelerbergen) GPS coordinates 51.281941, 5.633742
(Right next to the highway A2, 3km from Maarheeze trainstation and 6km from the Belgian border)
The location is unique. Adjacent to an old armybase, this huge 1100+ hectares area is still frequently used for military exercises. Because it has sand, lots of sand.
Part of Europe's largest open sand drifts.
Eventhough you can basically walk everywhere, we've selected the perfect bash spot as shown in yellow in the picture below.
The bashspot is a little walk away from the parking. But worth it. It offers great potential for care-free bashing:
Obviously for everyone active on the Dutch drivers united thread a visit is mandatory
. Others obviously are welcome too. It's a great time of the year to visit the Netherlands. As it will be the first edition of the "Bulderberg Bash" we unfortunately do not offer lodging just yet, but who knows what the future might bring.
Likely some updates on the location will follow in this thread. Any suggestions what to bring along are welcome. Offroad tires!
Houserules:
1. The parking might be very inviting for bashing it's not allowed. We like to maintain friendly relations with the gate guards and park ranger. They tolerate RCing in the area and we'd like to keep it that way.
2. The area is partially nature reserve and military practice area, so don’t litter.
If you are planning to join us please let us know (by reply or DM), so we have an idea how many will be joining us.
