EC5 connectors, which way?

What is the correct way to seat an EC5 connector? From the rear or the front , does it matter? I've seen it done both ways on YouTube. (wires in the picture are not live)

Depends on the brand of connector. Those look like they go on like the red one shown.

I've just pushed them in whatever end works best..?? either way I hate EC5's ?

The tapered feature dictates the installation direction. In this case, you're doing it correctly by inserting the terminal from the left to the right, as indicated
