Starting a build log for my first 6s rig, Kraton 6s BLX. Want to have a thread to keep track of my build and parts. So far these will be the first upgrades, many more to come..

Only thing I’d say you need before a first bash is an exb front bumper!

they are tough as nails and will transition you nicely into the 6s line ;). I crash constantly... and if I didn’t have nice exb bumper or at least an rpm front bumper it wouldn’t be good news..

Hope you love your kraton as much as I love All mine!

Put a bumper on the front and back (RPM bumper fits both sides but I'd get the EXB bumper for the front and back of it would fit both sides, RPM fits back for sure) thicken up the center diff fluid and get metal supports for when they break ;)

First little bash with the new rig. So far have added wheelie bar, front and rear aluminum chassis braces and HR skid plates front and back.
Upgrades so far..

They have a screw that threads into them. I've also got decent size washers under the body so there is more surface area to support them and help them from just punching through.

Still in progress taping the inside also

Some new upgrades and cosmetic additions. Painted shock springs and driveshafts white for some pop. Installed RPM BLUE A arms all around. Truck is starting to look pretty BADA$$!!

Like the look, did you bake the paint on or is it not an enamel? If it's enamel heating it up can make it slightly tougher...not sure it'd matter on springs and drive shafts but maybe?

Thanks, I'm definitely liking the way it's coming along. Just sprayed parts didn't bake them, good idea though!

Since front diff issue and being down have replaced all bearings with Fast Eddy's sealed bearings. Blue A arms all around from RPM. Put 500k in center diff, 50k front(now fixed with new diff pinion) and 30k rear. Switched 15t Arrma pinion for 14t ProTek MOD 1 pinion, Punch set to 5 with new fluids. Like the way it's driving with thicker fluids, haven't jumped it with new adjustments yet, soon to come though...

You should try going 20million for the center. Personally I use the silicone ear plugs. Having the center diff more or less locked makes the Kraton so responsive and gets rid of front wheel ballooning entirely ;)

Also, set my punch to 8...factory 4 is much like a wet noodle in a tsunami, no one really knows what's going on when they need to ;)

@NewSensei, Thanks for the info, sure the adjustments will come with more time and more driving the truck. What pinion you running, and what fluids front and back with the earplugs in center? You get high motor temps fast or are you running a fan? Sorry so many questions lol

Would this be a plug and play or drop in receiver for my Kraton 6s? Dumborc x4 transmitter with x6f receiver? Got one coming and have never changed or messed with tx/rx in my rc's so just curious if it's an easy process?

It’s easy. It’s not exactly plug and play. You will need to recalibrate the radio to the ESC and possibly bind the transmitter to the receiver. But it’s not rocket surgery.
