Esc for tp 4070-CM

Hi, just ordered the tp-4070-CM (2900kv) for my felony... What is the best esc for this motor?

Either a Castle MMX8S or an XLX2; that motor will pull a ton of amps. Are you planning on running 6S or 8S? Will you be parking-lot bashing or speed running?

The Castle Creations Xlx2 is the minimum esc I would use for that motor. A hw max 5 would be redlined before that motor would even warm up alsoit is rated to 27 volts so I personally wouldn’t run it at 8s
