Arrma RC's
I currently have a Hobbywing max 8 in my Kraton and was wondering if I could run a Leapord 1480kv with it or not. Thank you

Should work fine, just note the connector is a different dimension.

When they post stuff like this with specs, is this as high of kv as you should go?

Motor Limit Brushless Motor Limit with 4S LiPo/12 cells NiMH: KV≤3000 (4274 size motor)
Brushless Motor Limit with 6S LiPo/18 cells NiMH:KV≤2400 (4274 size motor)

I just noticed... it's a "≤" in there. lol!

That said, couldn't you run a 3200-3800 3550 type motor as well?

Just asking for future needs if I have esc overheating issues running 3S with my castle 3800kv sct motors in my stampede and jato. Or if I continue having the esc shut down on me in my outcast with 4S due to heat, or assuming it's heat. Was thinking of running the max6, higher current capability, but 6S:KV≤1500 of which I'm guessing is for a physically larger motor than the arrma outcast 2050kv motor.

So looking at that I should be fine. I know it can run a Leopard 4082 2000kv motor.
The 2000kv is 140A, 25V 3500W
The 1480kv is 115A, 23V 4200W

The higher kv runs hotter. Maybe your geared to high

That’s all bologna. That max6 will be fine with the 2050 or any brushless motor that a max8 can handle, like a castle 2200.

If you’re going max6 I recommend going the hexfly hex6 route. Much cheaper.
