I just created a new thread going into some more details. @sparky_malone If you can, provide some more details about your issue on that thread as well. I believe it will be very helpful for future readers to see a few different use cases all in one thread.

I have a thred on this too but with the BLX80 ESC on the Raider BLX. New from the box i had issues. I had it out of the box 10 minutes from new doing the first pre drive checks and the esc caught fire. Lucky i was so quick to remove the battery or it could have been much worse if the lipo caught fire too. Mine is also being replaced under warranty, hopefully i get a motor too. I was asked to send mine back for inspection and think if any one has a faulty one send it back anyway so they can see what the problem is and its no use anyway lol
damn!! before i bought my truck ...i made sure v2 of the speed control was out...tinking all those problem would be resolve...i know i have a second gen esc...the problem was supposed to be solved...look like underpaid chinese guys are making arrma electronics.:) they had a chance to improve their reputation on that....seems like the way its going....they are aiming for the fail!!

There will always be hardware failures, especially with RTR electronics. However, the key is how difficult the vendor is to work with when sorting out warranty issues and discussing various problems with them. My experience with their customer support team has been superb and I already have replacement parts. Only one oops - they didn't send me my pinion back! I'll be reaching out to them shortly to get that settled.

i know that, thing is ,some are worse than others.some take the issue seriously an relook the faulty pieces of hardware entirely....and the others go the easy way...ooh! that resistance failed, lets put a bigger resistance! (stupid example i know)instead of trying to know why it is failing...and throw back the product to you...less expense, more profit.Money IS the only motivation here, and the answer to all question.some other company had issue, they are not the first indeed, but when traxxas had some problem with the vxl-3s it took them time but when they solved it it was for good and it was nowhere as dull a failure as burning right out of the box:):) my father is an electronic ingeneer and was i was 15,i helped him in the construction of my first electronic speed control...in a bended cooper box you know what?? it took 2 weeks spared time to think ,designed, and realized, it was pretty straight forward,no trim or mode, but it work right out of the bench...and never failed!:) company like those are specialist in those mather....there is no magic there, and beside the change in voltage and motor pulling more juice, things haven't change that much over the last 30 years.Thats why im saying build and materials used are involved.if used part can sneak their way into hundreds of million dollars airplane,or missille or name it...imagine your cost cutting r/c company for their rtr electronics.all im saying is when you take time effort and ressources.....sufficient enough....those dangerous esc would be history.:)

Hey guys, so on my 5th battery pack with me new Senton, I turned everything on and everything sounded normal.

When I pulled the trigger to drive the truck moved about 1/8th of an inch and stopped. Then I heard the ESC rebooting.

So I tried again, this time in reverse.... Same thing. Moves 1/8th inch then ESC restarts.

Tried everything I can think of, un plugged the servo, same thing. Tried a different battery, same thing. Tried a different radio and receiver, same thing. I tried removing the motor to take all the load off of it, and the same thing.

I'm really not sure what to do now. Any suggestions?
We are having the same problems with my senton...they must have had a ton of the esc's built before they knew of the problems. at this rate they may as well send two in the box...
