Arrma RC's
  1. Typhon TLR
I have the Arrma Typhon ready to race TLR tuned version, and I purchased the programming box for the sole purpose of being able to set drag break and unlock features that are accessible if I was to buy this very same ESC all by itself. After going through all the firmware updates (both the ESC and the programmer had newest firmware and everything and still do not have drag brake under advance settings or other advanced setting. All I have is reverse force, punch, and timing. (basically the same stuff I had access to without the programmer card ) Does anyone know how to get to the other options such as the drag brake force ect that is listed in the 150 a ESC manual?

I'm not sure if this is your issue, but sometimes the RTR ESCs do not have the same options as the same ESC you would buy retail (I've had that issue in the past). You might need to have the retail firmware to get the additional options, and even then the ESC might be locked so it won't accept the retail firmware.

Thank you for the response. That is absolutely crazy. One of the reasons I chose this buggy as my first one was because it had all those options or at least I thought it did. Since it is brand new, I may have to return it and look for a different option. I am hoping customer service can help me, but I have not heard back from them. I just don’t understand why they would lock the ESC 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. I have very limited options for settings. It is the RTR version, and I’m wondering if they somehow eliminated a bunch of settings because of that reason. If that is the case, I will be returning the buggy. I only have the options on the picture in the left, but the ESC manual shows settings on the right

I think you will find that most RTR ESCs, with a few exceptions, are crippled in some areas, and buying another vehicle with the same ESC isn't going to solve your problem. If your only issue with the TLR is the ESC, you might want to consider buying the retail version of the ESC, or an aftermarket ESC.
