Typhon ESC Reset - Top Speed Lost

I did a default reset on my ESC and then went through the throttle setup (neutral / full-throttle / full-brake) per the manual. I must be doing something wrong. My forward/reverse always seems to end up switched (I can fix through reverse switch on transmitter) but I lost a lot of top speed. I also now occasionally have a slight low-speed dead spot in my forward throttle.

Has anyone been through pages 27 and 28 in the Typhon manual - Is there a typo or something subtle that I may be missing?

Solved: I had my motor rotation setting on the esc reversed.

Something important that I did not realize was that long beeps equal: 5. I thought I was back in lipo/nimh setting (1) but I was actually in motor rotation setting (5).

I still can't get the factory default procedure to work but that is not needed anymore now that I know how to walk through the settings manually.
