FWIW, the surpass/rocket alloy framed 35mm fan fits in the max6 esc's and pushes a lot more air than the OEM fan. It also holds up to chassis slap way better because the motor is supported with alloy stanchions vs the plastic ones.

I run these in all 3 of my max6's as well as the one blx185 I still have in a truck (they fit in that too):

Does it keep the esc ice cool because i run 20 45 gearing pretty high and are the fan blades aluminum?
Blades aren't, just the frame. Still holds up better than the OEM fans.

I run 21/50 in my kraton exb with the max6/4985 1650kv and 19/50 in my outcast 6s with the max6/4092 1650kv.

Deos it keep your system cool
I run a similar setup on my Outcast 6s, last summer after a 2 back to back bash sessions without letting it cool down the max temp I saw was about 145*F outside temp was upper 80s lower 90s.

WFO Racing makes a fan shroud that holds a 40mm fan. I have a 4028 fan on my Kraton but you don't need to run that big of a fan. https://wforccustoms.com/products/max-6-fan-shroud

Need some fans for my kraton 6s killed the one in my max 6 want to put a bigger 40mm fan in it would i need to put it on top of the sec shroud do not want to remove it

There are different options and what was listed above works great are good solutions.

My case for the Max6 I removed the fan housing and used the sliver part made from a user here for a 40mm fan and placed that on top of my ESC. This is a battery powered setup not running off the ESC.

Will not use the term icey but it does keep it cool enough for my bash since it is a 3S powered fan so move a lot more air.

Hey I got one of these for my Xmaxx to mount a 40mmx28mm fan like yours appears to be. Any idea on screw length needed?

With my fan guard the screws I used measure 35mm.

And Idk if I got a bad one or what but mine broke. There are hollow spots all over the place in this thing which I am fairly certain had a lot to do with the breakage.

I'm just going to get one of @Camaroboy383 fan mounts.
