This is my first go at painting an RC so I made quite a few mistakes. Given that I'm a perfectionist, I see them all. I learned a lot though, especially about masking. Since this isn't a shelf queen, they probably don't matter. If any really bug me, I'll put some stickers over them. Immediately after the pictures, I took it for a rip so it's already less pretty.

What do you think? Don't quit my day job...

Looks pretty good 👍😁👍
What paint did you use? Tamiya ps-3?

I really enjoy painting bodies. I watched quite a few YT vids for technique, although most of those guys use airbrushes. After some practice I’m getting pretty decent results with rattle cans. Best single piece of advice I ever got? For laying out detail lines only ever use Tamiya brand masking tape. It’s so far superior to most others it’s crazy, and it comes in a ton of widths. Burnish the edges well and that stuff almost never bleeds. I feel if it does then it’s my fault from poor application. For really wide stripes or covering a lot of area I use Frog tape.
Have a blast with it man, I find it to be a ton of fun!

You're right, its not perfect but its still a good job on a first paint job. Every time you paint, I promise you'll notice more wrong with it than anybody else will, lol. Good news is a few bashes and scuffs and the mistakes will hardly show! :ROFLMAO: 👍 👍 👍
