You guys recommend the arrma 29mm aluminum housing or maybe another one ?
Yes, ARA311061. Vitavon also makes them and they look solid but I believe they’re more expensive and most likely longer shipping.

Ill have to do my research obviously before rebuilding, but will i be able to take 2 of the diffs that have failed for me and put together 1 good diff with the parts from inside the other

Assuming the issue is the issue most ppl have been having with them- those pieces sheered off

I’m not the most experienced with these diffs but I don’t see why not, assuming the same part didn’t break from the 2 diffs.

Of you haven't I would seriously take the time to watch that vid from Kudra. Super insightful. I don't even have diff issues and I found myself sucked into watching it.

Hate to see that your having so issues like that though, man. Getting a new RC is super exciting and to have factory issues quash that excitement is a real bummer. Hoping you get it figured out much sooner than later..

I got my new EXB friday. I run it at flat ground 3min on 4s and rear/front diffs blow. will see what local hobbyshop says...

Hell is going on with those diffs?
Do we see EXBs failing here or other v6 cars as well?

Feels like Arrma must investigate and make a statement.

Maaaan thats what im saying. I can keep contacting them and complaining til they send me a new one but what good does that really do? Its just more work for everyone, so that leaves us (the buyer) with having to spend even more money either fixing the broken poop diffs that they made or buying another brand of diffs. I think either way its bullshit for an $800 truck. Ive never had so many issues in such a short amount of time on any other arrma i have- that includes 6s 3s etc. for an ‘extreme bash ready’ truck im being forced to baby it cause im scared its gonna cost me

@rgard6 Sorry to hear that your 6s behaves like that =( I'd be in rage as well.

Perhaps you can ask for a statement from Arrma on this. Refer to this thread and Reddit (I think there were identical reports). Pretty sure something is on Facebook as well in Arrma groups.

It cannot be a single coincidence. Too many identical problems on identical cars.

My Kraton 6s v6 front/rear diffs still intact, factory ones.

There’s definitely an ongoing problem with these. I’ve seen several reports both here and on Reddit.

I took my stock Kraton EXB V6 for its first run on grass and had no issues on 6S (tried 100% briefly but mostly ran on 75%) but have aluminum housings for all 3 ready to rebuild.

Feel for everyone having problems hopefully a swap to aluminum housing and shimming can reduce the problems in the future but it definitely shouldn’t be a requirement on a car of this price.

Hopefully Arrma addresses it in some way and offer free upgrades to a fixed version but I’m not thinking it’s realistic.

Have you had a chance to rebuild your diffs with aluminum diff case? Curious on others experience if this was the issue. I noticed when taking my first one apart they no longer come with the limited slip components (for lack of knowing what they're actually called) and just had spacers beneath the pins.

I'm waiting on my M2C out drives to arrive before I finish rebuild, just curious to see how others are fairing. Can't wait to drive this thing again (only did one run without issues on 6S - just flat grass no jumps), just don't want to destroy any diffs in the meantime.

I haven't, no. Im meaning to get around to it just need the time. And the stock diffs according to HH are open ‘active’ diffs

I haven't opened up the diffs on my V3 EXB, but I did notice the truck came with a bunch of slipper pads (I guess?), so perhaps they are open from the factory, but with the option of adding them? Or maybe they're for the center diff. Not sure.

Yes, my Kraton EXB V6 also came with limited slipper pads in the manual bag and upon opening the diff, confirmed they came open from the factory. I also didn’t have an issue on my first full run on 6S similar to others so perhaps this is the reason why.

Interesting! Just to confirm what you mean, is it possibly that a batch of the EXBs came with the limited slip, but then they switched gears (huehue) and included the pads instead? No diff issues at all, no issues period actually, and trying to figure out why.
