Hello all
Got a 6s V5 a month or two ago.
i have a thread in the member intro section

https://www.arrmaforum.com/threads/first-time-arrma-owner.32432/

but figured it was time to start my own build thread !
i don’t have any pics of it new .
However
It was nice looking RC 😁
So far I’ve bent some rear a arm pins and broke the rear pin retainers 😁
Broke the rear wing off (which) was too easy in my opinion!
Broke the wing mount ...
So now if or when it ends up upside down on the road in a slide at 40ish mph it grinds the shock towers like crazy 😂
Just the other day I was “mastering” my backflips on a lil ramp we built (for the kids) and over corrected and she nose dived fairly hard ..... everything seemed fine , other than the extreme toe out of the front tires 😂
Figured I just knocked her out of alignment....
ya
Nope
Bent the red aluminum steering link !
no worries
I removed it yesterday and beat it flat with a hammer 😁😁😁
Good as new !!
I made an order of some upgraded parts starting with the aluminum front and rear A arm pin retainers
Followed by Aluminum chassis braces front and rear
Aluminum gear box covers ! (Gonna start with just the covers see how that works)
Aluminum wing mount and I think the support below it ...
Aluminum center diff cover ....
just getting started tho
That crap isn’t cheap !!!
ive already changed the diff fluids I went 7k 50k 7k
If anyone has any suggestions input advice jokes sarcasm I’m all ears
Here are some pics of my almost 2month old typhon 6s V5
Will keep updating as parts break and or arrive
Ron

Hi @Ron Burgandy. Love the witty banter. About that rear wing. Once it or the mounts break, probably a good time to rest the buggy. Flipping it without them is going to do a lot worse than just creating some cool sparks. If that rear tower grabs anything while sliding upside down, it is "very" likely that you'll tear the tower off the case. This would require a much more extensive time on the work bench. As always, don't ask me how I know.

Odd that you didn't get a 'Build contributor' badge, might want to get in touch with @slick2500.
You have the common breakage and 'bendage' stuff.
Once you get sick of the hammer approach, Ackerman plate get M2C or the EXB version.
I switched to M2C hingepin holders after breaking 4 this season (across 2 rigs). They are a bit pricey but it's a pain to switch them out.
