Arrma RC's
Hi there,

I'm searching for suitable foam tyres for my ARRMA Typhon 6S BLX.
I'm really satisfied with the GRP GT tyres for onroad.
Unfortunately, these only have a diameter of 98mm.

Would be quite happy if I could find foam tyres with diameter in the region of the original ARRMA tyres.
These have 112mm.
It's important, that these tyres do not balloon.

Looking forward to your recommendations.
Especially, when these spare parts are easy available in Germany.

Best regards,
Thomas

I have heard that the "GT Louise belted" are really good! These are not foam. With foam tires, they will "Chunk". I have a whole thread on it.
My thread on speed run tires

Hi Thomas,

I have heard this from several of the top speed runners that the Typhon is almost uncontrollable on foams. Unless you get a GT body or a stretched chassis it may be best to stick with GRP tires.

It is worth mentioning that Foam tires have about 1/2 the grip of the GRP tires. I recommend if you have not reached 130mph yet, then stick with the GRP tires. My Typhon running 8s could easily hit 130+ on GRP tires, but couldn't put the power down above 80mph on BSR foams. (I tried Pink and Purple models)

Most 1/8 scale foams are around 103mm so you are not gaining much in terms of diameter. It is best to make up for the size change by running the limitless spool setup.
